PHOTOGRAPHS OF MY TIME SPENT IN SOUTH EAST ASIA, SUMMER, 2017

This past summer, I left my job at the visual effects and animation studio, PSYOP, after 9 amazing years. Jackson, one of my closest friends i'd met during my 10 years in NY, had moved back to his hometown of Perth, Australia to be closer to family. This decision had given him the opportunity to travel throughout South East Asia and Indonesia.

It was during his trips that we would find time to video chat and he would tell me about the adventures he'd found on his pathless road.  It was never something I'd consider doing myself, but after having a pretty familiar and comfortable life in my job, I decided what I needed next was something wild, something I'd never have time to do again in my life.

I met Jackson in Kuala Lumpur in early July. We would spend the next month traveling throughout SE Asia, Indonesia, and Australia. I've never had wanderlust, and on occasion the tip was tedious, but I'll never forget how I felt in these strange places. in all, I took 5000 photos. I've yet to curate most of them and they will be added to this gallery as I pick up time here and there to complete documenting this unforgettable experience.
